Types of Capresso coffee makers…

Capresso MT-500 Plus 10-cup Coffeemaker with Metallic Alloy Body and Stainless Thermal Carafe

The Capresso MT-500 coffee maker brews up to 10 cups of great coffee – each cup taking less than one minute. It has a sturdy stainless steel vacuum carafe which keeps your coffee hot for several hours. There is brew-pause for mid-brew pouring, a clock and timer and it is fully programmable. The great things about the Capresso MT-500 coffee maker is that it is speedy. You put away the coffee bean jar and get ready your mugs and then it’s time to drink.  The coffee is made at an ideal temaperature and its flavoris incredible smooth.  The time-brewed function is easy to set up and works flawlessly. It’s best to use the gold filter that’s included to avoid things leeching from the paper filter.  Cleaning up the Capresso MT-500 is a bit time consuming. After you remove the filter and filter holder there are a lot of wet grounds that are stuck to the lid.

Capresso 454 CoffeeTEAM-S Coffee Maker/Burr Grinder Combination

The Capresso 454 coffee maker has both good and bad points.  The burr grinder grinds much better than a blade. It’s easy to program and even easier to clean.  The goldtone filter is exceptionally good.  You get a fuller, richer flavour without leeching from paper filters. There is no thermal carafe which for its price tag comes as a bit of a surprise. Brew time takes too long. A good brew shouldn’t take longer than 6 minutes, the Capresso 454 takes 10 minutes and there’s a bitter flavour from the beans. Probably best to brew 6 cups first and then another 4 if you want 10 cups of coffee. The temperature is just not hot enough. Especially after you’re added milk or cream in. Without hot water the brew cannot be at its best and make the most of the bean’s potential.

Capresso CoffeeTeam GS 10-Cup Digital Coffeemaker with Conical Burr Grinder

Capresso is very committed to customer service.  They respond very fast to any problems. Make sure you register your coffee maker with them when you first purchase it. Impressively the Capresso CoffeeTeam GS brews very hot coffee.  When first brewed it was 193 degrees. Its a very stylish coffee machine with high quality construction Capresso are famous for. The grinder is a little bit on the noisy side. The carafe makes a weird popping sound when it sits on the warming plate. It’s set to grind a slower speed to prevent the bean from getting hot. During the brewing process the water pump makes a lot of grunting noises. At the end when the final drops of water are being pushed out it gurgles a lot.
